চাকরির দায়িত্বসমূহ
  • Provide administrative support to Director of Residential Life and Coordinator of Student Life as needed. Maintains on-going and daily operations of the office.
  • To ensure in collaboration with the Principal that the school property, furniture, buildings, office equipment, laboratories, sports facilities and all other resources of the school are adequately and properly maintained.
  • Ensure that policies align to help meet the overarching school’s mission, vision and management’s expectations.
  • Ensure that academic and behavioral expectations are met by all involved in the school (students, admin staff etc.). Administer disciplinary actions, where and if necessary.
  • For especially delicate cases the issue can/should be escalated to the Head of School/ Chairperson.
  • Administer acceptable and appropriate standards of health, safety, and hygiene in all school facilities in collaboration with Head of School/ Principal.
  • Ensure that residency and sanitary facility for students and staff are maintained properly
  • Ensure that regular and timely communication with parents are sent regarding:
  • Student activities in general
  • After School activities
  • Weekend activities
  • Events
  • Note that approval from Chairperson and Head of school will be required for the following:
  • Changes to overall vision and mission of the school
  • Changes to the residential life philosophy
  • Changes in organization structure (organogram) of the school
  • Appointment and promotion of administrative staff
  • Separation/dismissal of administrative staff
  • Ensure timely execution of the following:
  • Preparing the school calendar in collaboration with the Head of School/ Principal
  • Preparing the afterschool timetables in collaboration with Head of School and curriculum/school heads
  • Ensure that the timetables are well-balanced and that the students have sufficient time to get involved in after school activities
  • Prepare and coordinate logistics of after school and events according to the annual calendar
  • Allocate after school activities and weekend Club schedules, which need to be carried out for residential students.
  • Plan the year’s Residential life’s objectives with the Dorm Deans in collaboration with Principal, which needs to be consistent with the 5-year plan approved by the Chairperson.
  • You are expected to hold periodic meetings with the Dorm Deans/ House masters to assess the discipline and personal life of the students
  • Promote Dorm Dean/ House masters initiatives for dorm discipline, healthy living style, personal development.
  • Encourage and coordinate logistics with Head of School/ Principal for extracurricular trips, activities and events to help students relate classroom learning and theory with practical application and implication in the real world
  • Encourage involvement in extra-curricular activities that cover public speaking, community networking, social entrepreneurship, leadership and team building
  • Promote and participate in outdoor educational trip/activities and/or extracurricular activities
  • Eliminate academic performance gap through classroom intervention, school ethos and programs after school hours
  • Most importantly, the Head of Residential life with collaboration with the Head of School should be responsible for student’s overall improvement as a global citizen and should be the perfect role-model for them.
  • Staff Development
  • In collaboration with the Head of School/ Chairperson, you are to take responsibility for the selection and hiring of administration personnel
  • Mentor, guide and provide feedback in support of the professional development of the admin personnel / residential doctors/ house masters/ counselor
  • You will be required to assess, review and evaluate the performance of the Dorm Deans/ House masters/ student counselor / residential doctors/ nurses and the administrative staff who will be directly reporting to you.
  • Ensure that the clear objectives and KPIs are set and clearly communicated and recorded at the beginning of the year. The objective must be in accordance with the schools mission, vision, and the long-term strategic plan.
  • You are to ensure that performance evaluation of personal are against the clearly stated objectives
  • You are to assess that all admin department personnel correctly, fairly and properly conducts their appraisal process of their department personnel.
  • Student Conduct, Intervention & Support
  • Review all incident reports and police reports (if available) for incidents that take place in the community and/or involve residents living in the community
  • Respond to residents in need, referring to other professionals, when appropriate
  • Adjudicate student conduct cases, track sanction completion, refer to cases or ongoing situations of concern
  • Provide leadership during times of crisis in and adjacent to the community
  • Assume shared responsibility for campus-wide on-call duty year round
  • Support students as they overcome mistakes by challenging current thought processes and behavior patterns.
  • Familiarize residential students with school policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure appropriate enforcement thereof.
  • Consult with supervisory staff regularly regarding student conduct matters.
  • Serve as a Campus Security Authority.
  • Facilities and Operations
  • Assist the Operations Staff in opening and closing of the residence halls at the beginning and end of the academic year, and during periods of academic recess.
  • Work cooperatively with Admin functional areas in matters related to hall maintenance, custodial, room assignments, and roommate conflicts, verification of occupancy and hall/room damage issues.
  • Assist in the operation of area desks by providing daily supervision and task management.
  • Process approved room changes within assigned area, participate in department wide room change time periods, and maintain awareness of roster changes.
  • Receive and process reports of damages, needed repairs, and items of a similar nature, and follow-up regarding completion of repairs.
  • Maintain professional relationships and communication with facilities and custodial staff.
  • Monitor and inventory storage areas, lounge and public areas in area of assignment.
শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা
  • Master’s Degree and at least five years of post-Bachelor’s experience strongly preferred
